Live-in Support Worker

L’Arche is a vibrant community charity that supports people with learning disabilities. It provides high quality, person-centred, individually tailored care and support. Within the community people are encouraged to express their unique identity with mutual respect and dignity.

The L’Arche community in Bognor Regis is looking for people with enthusiasm and resilience, who are passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities, and want to make a positive difference in society. At L’Arche, support workers are known as Assistants and there are openings for Live-in Assistants at our community houses in Bognor Regis, either for a year, or on a longer term basis.

We offer a programme of opportunities for professional and personal development including retreats, accompaniment, and an assistant’s training programme. Accommodation and food is provided along with a monthly allowance for living expenses.

This role is particularly attractive to those wanting to gain experience either before or after university and for people from overseas wishing to combine living in community with the opportunity to travel, but it is open to anyone.

L’Arche is grounded in the Christian tradition but welcomes people of all faiths and none. Our vision is a world where all belong.
