L’Arche makes known the gifts, competence and presence of people with learning disabilities, working together toward a more humane society. It builds supportive local communities where people, sometimes with complex conditions, can flourish. As a standardised training programme is rolled out across the charity, there is a new opportunity for an apprentice to gain experience in management and administration supporting both this programme and the L’Arche community in Bognor Regis.

The Training Administrator & Management Trainee will be based in the L’Arche Bognor Regis Office team, providing administrative support for the L’Arche community locally and the National Mission Formation Coordinator’s work in particular implementing a newly developed national training programme.

The role will take the lead in administering...

  • the L’Arche UK Induction programme being rolled out across L’Arche nationally
  • the training programme locally in Bognor
  • support for L’Arche Bognor Regis’ administration including housing provision, fundraising and human resources
  • Administrative support for the National Mission Formation Coordinator as required including event registration and travel processes.

It will also involve working with the office team to provide general administrative support for human resources; finance and the L’Arche community in Bognor Regis. The main tools will be Microsoft Office applications; Sharepoint; and database tools including Care Academy digital frameworks and CharityLog. You will use these to record, organise, and report data accurately and clearly. It will require a flexible approach to working; creativity; initiative and good teamwork.

L’Arche works nationally and internationally. Locally in Bognor, it is a community that is developing rapidly. For the right person, there is opportunity to continue working locally or to find adventure in one of the communities worldwide. In this role you will develop business and management skills while working with others, with and without learning disabilities, to positively shape our society.
